Certified double HEPA filtration
Allentown takes the certified HEPA filter from a respected provider, installs it into the SPP rack HEPA assembly and then recertifies the entire system in place. Air passing through the SPP system then passes through a second cage-level HEPA cartridge that itself is certified. As leaders of IVC containment, we know these essential extra steps are vital to your research.
Patented 4-point seal
When you remove a cage from the Allentown SPP system, two ports each on the cage and rack are simultaneously sealed to the room. The Allentown patented 4-point system accomplishes this with quick disconnect couplings, so innovative that it's patented and found nowhere else other than on Allentown housing solutions. Industry leading airflow solutions.
The SPP features an airflow system developed for redundant, high-efficiency containment while also being energy efficient, ergonomically friendly and quiet.
Blower
The blower is designed to provide unidirectional single-pass airflow, and being tethered to an occupied cage, accepts real-time data to make automatic adjustments to compensate for both rack HEPA and intra-cage filter loading, ensuring consistent airflow.
Battery Backup
The Battery Backup ensures at least 10 hours of emergency operation of the SPP should there be a facility power failure. Internally, the unit has redundant power supplies, redundant batteries, and a battery charging system to ensure that no "single point of failure" can occur.
Rack HEPA Assembly
The Rack HEPA assembly is hard connected to the racking system, ensuring that all connections to the rack on the "contaminated" side of the filter are securely fastened. The unit features dual (supply and exhaust) HEPA filters and is contains features developed to support containment...such as being able to maintain containment if the blower should ever need to be replaced.
Sani-Rack
The Sani-Rack is an effective, safe and simple method for autoclaving Sentry SPP or BCU-2 cage systems without the need for labor-intensive disassembly, stacking or costly cage bagging.
Sentry SPP Animal Transfer Unit (ATU)
A mobile animal transport / housing unit designed to provide a secure microenvironment for animals in transport or temporarily removed from the main population.
